The Central Exchange offers its first online programming - Leading Conversations -  in partnership with Park University:

Welcome to Virtual CX!
A Central Exchange Members-Only Site

Virtual CX is a Central Exchange online community where members can connect and get to know each other, share ideas, discuss topics of interest, continue discussions following CX programs, as well as ask for advice and offer expertise. The sky’s the limit in terms of the connections Virtual CX can provide.

This is a members-only site. To get started, you need to join and create a profile (including uploading your picture, if you like.) That done, liberate your creativity by moderating or taking part in a discussion, penning a blog or commenting on one, and/or being a part of a live chat.

Using Virtual CX

The site is divided into Groups and within each group there are Forums or Blogs relating to specific topics. Before posting a message, be sure you have chosen the most appropriate Forum or Blog. Additional topics may be added at the discretion of our Forum administrator. Click here to contact us. Off-topic posts may be moved or deleted at the discretion of the moderators.

Virtual CX Components you’ll want to use right away:

  • Profiles – Your profile includes an identifiable handle (either your name or nickname), personal information you don’t mind sharing (e.g. birthday, gender, occupation, location - where you live or work, your interests), and your picture (or avatar). You have the ability to list other profiles as “friends” or “contacts”. This articulated social network is displayed on your profile for other users to view.
  • Blogs - A blog is a personal diary. It can be a soapbox, an outlet for breaking news, a collaborative space or a conduit for expert advice. Simply put, it is a site where a blogger can write on an ongoing basis. New entries appear at the top, so visitors can read what's new and comment if the urge strikes. In their short history, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.
  • Forums – a forum is an online discussion group where participants with common interests can exchange open messages on a particular topic. Communicating through forums is a great way to learn new ideas, make friends and contacts, find out about new opportunities, contribute to others and get new business leads.
  • Podcasts - The word podcast is a play on the word broadcast combined with the word iPod (one of the most popular portable MP3 players). It is a form of audio broadcasting on the Internet that puts you in control of what you listen to, when you listen to it and how you listen to it (usually on a computer or portable audio player) The Central Exchange will podcast select programs throughout the year so that members can listen at their convenience.
